A priest by the door of Yemerhana Christos

Yemerhana Christos (Krestos) Church is located about 40 Kms from the famous town of Lalibela, Ethiopia.
It is believed that the church, built inside a huge cave, was constructed by King Yemerhana, one of Zagwe dynasty, in the 12th century.
The church is built in the Axumite architecture: layers of wood and stone. The inner part of the church is beautifully decorated. The grave of King Yemerhana is behind the church, and his place infront of it, still in the cave.
To reach the church one should climb few hundreds stairs.
