Cape-Verde is the most western country in Africa located 600 Kms from the shore of Senegal. Cape-Verde is an Archipelago of 10 small islands, with total land of 4000 square Kilometers.
The Portuguese discovered the islands, which were uninhabited in the second half of the 15th century. Soon enough they brought African, as slaves, to work in the sugar cane fields. Today, the 500,000 inhabitants are mixture of Africans with Portuguese.
You would not want to miss the wild beauty of Cape-Verde islands. Each of the islands has different landscape. Here, you can see Santo-Anata᷈o Island, the most western. Its mountains rise up to 2000 m’, creating huge canyons and gorges.
